Dr Ali Jawad

Ali has a background in graphic design, technology, charities, management, and education. He developed his design background in medical school. This gradually expanded to front-end work and then product management. He worked at a number of healthtech companies in senior product roles, designing and leading teams to deliver large scale software platforms.

He still regularly gives talks on innovation in healthcare, and has presented his research internationally. He continues to teach locally and also leads a national teaching course for medical students. Through an accelerator he started, he also mentors dozens of not-for-profit organisations and charities in the health and social care space.

Dr Oliver Trampleasure

A full-stack engineer with considerable technical experience and part-time NHS Paediatrician, Oliver is our CTO and responsible for building our platform. Prior to medicine Oliver achieved a Physics MSc where he learnt to code.

At medical school he created software to automatically allocate students to placements depending on their geographical location, saving hours of travelling time and improving satisfaction. After qualifying, Oliver volunteered in Camp Moria, a refugee camp described as ‘hell on earth’. Technical infrastructure was inherently poor but technological advancements meant this was not unavoidable. This spurred him to create a resource efficient Clinical Record System (CRS) for the austere environment that could be deployed on a low-cost, pocket-sized, battery and solar powered local server.
